This is a neat trick for Apple iPhone, iPad, & iPod devices. If you don’t have a mac, you can copy the symbol from this journal.

 for your iDevices

1) On your Mac, option+shift+K gives you the . Not all fonts have the symbol mapped but Helvetica and Verdana do
2) Email it to your iDevice
3) On iDevice Copy the symbol from your email
4) Go to Settings > General > Keyboards > Shortcuts
5) Tap the “+” in the upper right to add a new shortcut
6) In the Phrase field tap and paste the Apple symbol
7) In the Shortcut field type a shortcut you like that will be replaced by the Apple symbol like ,apl
8) Tap Save
That’s it. Now you can simply type your new shortcut in any iOS app and it should expand into the Apple symbol.  iOS’s auto correct feature will even suggest the symbol as you type the shortcut. Just remember that not all fonts will map that symbol correctly so if it doesn’t work try another font. If none of the fonts return the , dude, you got a Dell.

Thanks to The Mac Observer for this trick

Here is an idea about how we can use  in this group. When we receive submissions for our gallery particularly of digital art we have to refer to our database to see if you are an Apple user. If you haven't submitted before, we need to "interrogate" you to find which computer hardware you used to create or submit the deviation. ;) This can be time consuming for both of us. If you added something like "Created on iMac or submitted using my iPod" in the description, the process would be much easier. Easy means faster!

Thank you

Very nice! I actually never thought about doing it that way. I knew the keyboard shortcut, but, never thought to map it like that on my iPhone.
